I have two clocks that Charles and his team have restored to excellent working condition over the past several years.One is an early 20th century twin chime Mappin Webb mantle clock. I purchased it as-is in non-working condition. All three springs were replaced and the mechanism serviced. Now it has been cheerfully ringing out the time for over a year in my home.The other is a tall-case clock that I purchased over 25 years ago. It was not working, but a gentleman who has since passed away was able to service it. It worked well for almost ten years, but then stopped.I took it to several clockmakers but they all said the mechanism was beyond their level of expertise to repair.Finally, I decided to seek the help of The Empire Group. It turns out that the works are indeed unusual, because they have only ever seen a few of them. The clock dates to about 1890.Charles and his team have since restored the clock to perfect working order, and did a subsequent periodic maintenance last year.Shortly after that, against their advice, I foolishly attempted to adjust the time by turning the hands backwards just a little. This is unfortunately one of those clocks that must only be wound forward and allowed to chime out fully at every quarter hour.Once again my clock refused to work. I took it back. They had it running perfectly again in just a few weeks, and kindly did the readjustment under warranty" at no charge

Charles and his staff were amazing. I contacted Empire Clocks in January 2022 upon the recommendation of a well respected clock/watch parts supplier in TO. My family heirloom grandfather clock needed to be picked up in Toronto, serviced and shipped to Prince George, BC.Charles made this all happen. The clock (over 100 years old) runs like new, the price for servicing was exactly as estimated and dealing with Charles was so very pleasant. Needed a watch to be repaired and these guys, hands down, are the best. They offered a polishing service that I accepted and my watch was like new again. I send my friends there now and will go back again

Have dealt with this company for a few years, sent them dozens of watches for repairs and everything is always perfect. They really know what they're doing, and will actually tell you if a job is impossible which is important in this industry. The only company I trust for sentimental or valuable pieces to be repaired

I had an excellent experience with my Grandparent's Steeple Clock from 1850. I had not heard it working in 40 years and as promised they got it working in time for Christmas 2019. It has been working like clockwork" ever since. They love their work and listened to my story of this treasured piece and then they added some fun to it with their own thoughts.
